Overview

Texas A&M University System is committed to the highest standard of integrity in conducting research. Over the years, academic research has grown and has become more complex. The Principal Investigator is responsible for the research and compliance of the award terms and conditions. This section provides information and helpful links to assist you in locating assistance needed to accomplish this task and comply with applicable federal, state and University regulations.

For sponsored research projects that involve research with animals, biohazardous materials, or human subjects, SRS is required to ensure that funds are managed in accordance with the respective compliance-protocol requirements. If your research requires an approved protocol, a responsible research compliance office exists to help support and monitor work on the project.

For many A&M System members, that entity is the Office of Research Compliance and Biosafety at Texas A&M University. If you are unsure of which office and/or committee maintains review and oversight for research on your campus, contact your respective Chief Research Officer.
